The Masters

FAQs

As a Citizen competitor, how do I pick the right division?

The Boulder Field Masters offers 4 Citizens divisions for both men and women:

  • Beginner (V0-V3, TBF Green - Yellow)

  • Intermediate (V4-V6, TBF Yellow - Orange)

  • Advanced (V7-V9, TBF Orange - Purple)

  • Masters (age 40+)

All competitors, regardless of age, may compete in Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced divisions if they feel qualified. Competitors aged 40 and over may compete in Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced divisions or the Masters division.

Please be as fair as possible in judging your own abilities to compete in the appropriate category. The objective is to be highly competitive in the division you select - not to easily outcompete and not to struggle mightily. Anyone we deem to be in an unfair category will be bumped up to the next category of difficulty before announcing the results.

If you would like to request a category change after registering, please contact tbfmasters@theboulderfield.com. Please note that you may NOT change your category after 7 days prior to the event.

What is your refund policy?

In general, all purchases at The Boulder Field are non-refundable. But we will consider refund requests on a case-by-case basis up until 7 days prior to the event.
